This one-bedroom already had the goods: southwest-facing, with sunsets and Hudson River views from nearly every room, a sunken living room built around a wood-burning fireplace, original beamed ceilings overhead. Our job was to show it all at its best.

We styled to the apartment's strengths and worked with what was already beautiful. We let the light and the views in the living room breathe, and instead of ripping out the fireplace's dated wood mantle, we simply painted it to match the walls.
