THE STORY
One of the greatest compliments we've ever received came after the sale of 105-107 Bank Street, the most expensive townhouse sold in New York City in 2026.

The home was brand-new construction with an unusual kind of history: A 13,000-square-foot townhouse designed by Robert A.M. Stern and built from two former Bank Street walkups. One of them was the 1970s home of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The address carried a lot of history, but inside the walls were brand new.

Our job was to make this just-finished house feel like an inviting home. So we worked worn patinas into rooms that had never been touched, set antiques against the contemporary architecture, and left books and objects that made the house feel as though it had evolved quietly over decades.

It sold privately for $70 million. But the moment we were proudest of came after: the buyers chose to keep most of the furnishings, artwork and books we had curated, because they couldn't imagine the home without the feeling it gave them when they first walked in.
