Some spaces pull you in deep. When first opening the door the smell and condition hit me. There was a tenant living in the apartment and its cleanliness was absolutely neglected. It really bothered me that someone could neglect something so beautiful and so I promised the owner I would fix it all. It became personal.
As I started to design I thought a lot about what would connect someone to this space, focusing on the idea of giving the home a fresh start.
We gave the space a light glow up; paint, hardware, damage repair, floor sanding and staining, deep cleaning, and several smudge sticks...
Now, when you enter, the only thing you notice is the radiant double height living room, the tilt and turn casement windows, the working fireplace, a refreshed second floor, and the walk-in closet. It was a dream.
A new day dawns for home, home owner, and the seller who closed and sold over the asking price.
